About Hungry Rooster Perogies

The Hungry Rooster is Janina and Paulina Tokarski,, mother and daughter building a perogie empire. Janina's Polish heritage guides her in the commercial production and distribution of perogies. The Hungry Rooster Kitchen is located in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island B.C. where Janina's store front and take out restaurant offers delicious hot and frozen meals to go. Paulina's combined Polish and Canadian upbringings are at the heart of the success of the innovative Hungry Rooster food truck. Paulina spent her first six years operating the food truck in Victoria B.C. and has recently relocated to Invermere in the beautiful East Kootnenays. The Hungry Rooster Food Truck will continue spreading the perogie love in local markets, music festivals and special events in Columbia Valley and beyond.

We're passionate about the fusion of Eastern European food with worldwide flavors. Our food is homemade with fresh ingredients. We believe local is best. Our meats are ethically sourced from BC farms and raised without hormones or antibiotics. Hungry Rooster perogies are made with love from a secret family recipe. We use biodegradable packaging and recycle whenever we can for a minimal impact on our beautiful planet.
