1. Bring 4 L of water to a boil.
2. Drop all 12 perogies into the pot of boiling water.
3. Stir the perogies gently with a spoon so that they don’t stick together. The water needs to be boiling.
4. Boil the perogies for approximately 8 minutes until they float to the surface of the water.
5. Remove the perogies with a slotted spoon onto a plate.
6. Optional: serve warm perogies with your choice of sauce like melted butter, sour cream, yogurt, fresh dill. Enjoy!
1. Boil perogies (follow the directions above).
2. Cool the boiled perogies on a plate. Cold perogies are best for frying because they don’t stick to the hot frying pan.
3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan at low-medium heat.
4. Place cooled perogies in the hot pan so that they don’t touch each other.
5. Fry until golden brown on both sides.
6. Optional: serve perogies with fried onions, sauerkraut, fresh dill, bacon or sausage. Enjoy!
